We hear you. It’s a lot. Wouldn’t it be nice to have it all in one place?

We thought so too. Welcome to The Social Share.

We’ve got a lot to catch up on since the last update before the holiday. Let’s get into it.

Longer Stories, less interruptions

As a direct response to the demand from Instagram’s community, the social media platform is launching a live test of 60-second Instagram Stories.

Really, his only means great things for your presence on this platform. Most notably, it means longer videos won’t be cut off every 15 seconds. And, you can post full Reels to share with your followers.

TikTok leans into creator monetization

Just in time for the holidays. TikTok is further developing its digital gifting features. This expands the option to send tips and other tokens of appreciation beyond live videos to regular in-feed posts.

In their “Creator Next” program, TikTok says eligible creators will be able to unlock all sorts of goodies to reward users for their efforts.

They also state in their latest news update, “From those making TikTok videos ‘just for fun’ to side hustlers and those who consistently create, we know creators have different goals, motivations, and expectations. Designed with this in mind, the features available through Creator Next offer a variety of ways for the TikTok community to reward their favorite creators.”
