If you’ve been keeping up to date with Teachable, you’ll know we just finished up our Women Who Create summit, one of our largest online conference to date. In honor of International Women’s Month, we celebrated female creators from all walks of life. We had over 54,000 registrants for the summit and were so happy to hear how inspiring and valuable the workshops were. While our marketing team has been working to make this event a success, our product team has been hard at work too, focusing on smoothing out the user experience on Teachable. So what’s new at Teachable in our March 2019 product update? Keep reading to see.

Customer care team in North Carolina

If you’ve been keeping up with these monthly updates, you’ll know that we’ve been preparing to open a second Customer Care location. We’re super excited to share that we now have a second location to house our growing Customer Care Team up and running in Durham, NC.

We’re still growing the team out in NC (check out our careers page if you know anyone who might be a fit) because we are committed to supporting creators to the best of our ability—answering your tickets with minimal wait time, continuing to improve the live chat option for Professional users, and hitting a 95% Customer Satisfaction score.

Updates and bug fixes

  • Say hello to an updated email sender domain. We did this to improve email deliverability issues for custom and bulk emails sent through Teachable. More details in our changelog.
  • We reformatted the device confirmation email for school owners so that it’s easier to find the confirmation code when going through the device confirmation flow at login. Additionally, we resolved some deliverability issues where the confirmation code email wouldn’t send immediately or at all.
  • We are now creating author bios by default when you create your account so you don’t have to make one when you first create your course. In addition, we have made that bio selected by default, and cleaned up the interface so users are less likely to get errors when creating a new course.

Coming up at Teachable…

Here’s our updated product road map for 2019.

Optimize your home coursepage

We’re making sure you stay on track with this homepage to-do list.

Master your course homepage

Regardless of what stage your business is in, we have a checklist to help you get started on Teachable with your course homepage.

Master your course homepage

We’re working on a few big projects we are looking to roll out in Q2 2019. Our general focus is to improve conversion rates for school owners and to improve the way school owners create and edit important pages such as the Sales Page, Checkout Page and Thank You Page.

Additionally, our product team is also working on:

  • Making it easier to customize our native course certificates.
  • Adding a Payouts breakdown for users on Teachable Payments to get more visibility into their payouts.
  • Making adjustments to our student invoices to be compliant with VAT standards.
  • Making our Help Center easier to access from your admin area so you get the support you need.
