May Product Update: In-App Help Center

Graduation season is upon us. Huge congratulations to all our users with friends or family in the Class of 2019. It’s a big achievement to celebrate, and I am sure you have wise words to bestow upon them as they begin their new chapters.

While we no longer remember the words shared at our own graduation ceremonies, commencement speeches since have always reminded me to be daring, kind, and genuine. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s, and embrace the unique perspective only you have. Listen to others the same way you want to be heard, and make conscious, purposeful decisions.

We hope our creators out there also find some inspiration and guidance in those key takeaways this year’s commencement speakers had to share. Now, before we start writing a commencement speech of my own, let’s dive into what the team has been up to this past May.

An in-app help center is now available for Teachable users on all plans. This help form is accessible on all pages of the admin, and will surface Knowledge Base articles based on what you’re looking at.

Still can’t find the help you need? You can submit a support ticket directly in the help form and our customer care team will get back to you as soon as possible!

Updates and bug fixes

To make student-facing receipts more accessible for schools in languages other than English, we’ve made some of the fields editable through custom text.
We’ve rebuilt our webhooks services from the ground up. While there are no user-facing changes yet, it will allow us to scale webhooks for the future and make sure they are more reliable than ever.

Here’s our updated product roadmap for 2019.

As we’ve teased at the beginning of this year, our two upcoming big projects are Mobile Pay and Page Editor. Both projects are now in the development phase and we are excited to bring you more updates on both features next month!

Additionally, our product team is working on giving you the option to offer products beyond courses. It’s been exciting to watch our creators grow their business beyond online courses. And we want to grow alongside you to enable creators to sell other products within Teachable.
